Volunteer Opportunity – Lasting Powers of Attorney

We are currently trying to gather evidence of how people fare when they attempt to fill in the forms themselves, without legal or expert help.

A Lasting Power of Attorney (Health & Welfare) form allows you to appoint someone to make health & welfare decisions for you when you can no longer make them yourself. These forms must be registered with the Office of the Public Guardian to become valid.

However, with the complicated nature of the forms available from the Office of the Public Guardian, we believe many people who wish to register a Health & Welfare Lasting Power of Attorney seek legal help to fill in the forms, at no small cost.

We are currently trying to gather evidence of how people fare when they attempt to fill in the forms themselves, without legal or expert help.

If you want to help us out, get in touch! We would like people of all ages and educational levels to participate. You can give feedback from the comfort of your own home – all you need is a free couple of hours!
