“My aunt was clear in her living will and knew exactly what she wanted. When she went into a hospital, they kept providing life sustaining treatment despite it being directly against her wishes. I phoned Compassion in Dying and they helped me to find the strength to challenge the hospital. I felt it was only Compassion in Dying I could turn to. I was floundering and I was so grateful for their support. They helped me to claim with a solicitor against the hospital and I gave some of this money to Compassion in Dying. My aunt was a thoughtful person with a kind and generous heart. Donating to Compassion in Dying was such a special way to honour her and she would be grateful that Compassion in Dying were there to support me.”
