Ann-Marie’s Blog

On the 10th & 11th September 2014, I attended a two day My Life My Decision (MLMD) Residential Training in Warwickshire as part of the project. It was a great experience meeting with other colleagues, sharing ideas and learning from each other’s experiences. The networking was great and it has built another path towards collaborating, team building and effective communication methods. I want to take this opportunity to thank all the Compassion in Dying staff for organising such a great event with (good food!). Looking forward to another event! As I previously mentioned in my blog, I have been busy organising and attending meetings, liaising with other professionals about the project – (busy but exciting times).   I attended my second Newham Older People’s Reference Group (OPRG) meeting yesterday and there were about 30 – 35 members present. I was invited as a guest speaker to raise awareness of Advance Decisions (AD) & Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA). It was interesting as attendees showed a real interest in making their treatment wishes known. Feedback was wonderful and appreciated by the attendees. After the meeting there were members who were interested to known more and will contact me for appointments. Here are a few pictures: [one_half]am1[/one_half] [one_half_last]am[/one_half_last] am3 Hey guess what – can’t wait to see all the staff again next month to keep up to date with the project. Wishing all our readers a pleasant weekend!
