Fundraising Support Officer
We’re looking for a Fundraising Support Officer to join our friendly and passionate team and support a wide range of fundraising activity across Dignity in Dying and Compassion in Dying.
This is a varied and hands-on role, where you’ll help deliver fundraising campaigns, support our supporters, and ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes — from processing donations to helping launch exciting new initiatives.
This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career, returning to work, or looking to move into fundraising. We’re looking for potential, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn – and we will support you to develop in the role.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting fundraising campaigns, including direct mail and new initiatives
- Helping to deliver new projects, including a lottery and in-memory giving programme
- Responding to supporter enquiries by email and telephone with care and professionalism
- Processing donations and keeping supporter records up to date (Raiser’s Edge)
- Supporting donor communications, reporting and stewardship activity
- Providing general administrative support to the fundraising team
What we’re looking for
You don’t need direct fundraising experience. We’re looking for someone who is:
- Organised and reliable, with good attention to detail
- A strong communicator, able to respond to people in a thoughtful and sensitive way
- Positive and proactive, with a willingness to learn
- Comfortable working with information, systems or data (training will be provided)
- Motivated to build a career in fundraising
