Requesting treatment

You are here: Home » Requesting treatment

You are entitled to request a treatment, or to say to your doctor why you feel a certain treatment is right for you, but you don’t have the right to demand a treatment. This is because doctors don’t have to give you treatment just because you want it. Doctors decide whether treatment is medically appropriate for your condition and then you decide whether or not you want that it. If you do want it you give your consent to having it.
