My Life, My Decision

The My Life, My Decision project runs on the valuable help of committed volunteers. Without their help, we would not be able to provide our outreach services. For this reason, we give all our volunteers comprehensive CPD accredited training and an online network where they can speak to other volunteers across England.

The aim of the training is to enable volunteers to support older people to understand their rights to make decisions about their treatment and care. Our training will enable our volunteers to:

  • Have an understanding of people’s rights to make decisions about their medical treatment and care and be able to support older people to exercise their rights and plan in advance
  • Raise awareness of end-of-life rights and choices in their local communities

Volunteering is a positive and meaningful way to give back to your community. Not only that, you will meet new people and to develop new skills.
